Furniture

Finally got an interesting (if not too ridiculous) idea for map project. It involves making a furniture magazine for snails, tortoises and hermit crabs.

Bit worried my tutors are going to think im like... high. Also wondering how on earth they're going to grade this. But they don't exactly make OUR lives easy...

Seasick

More designs for annual pages. Hopefully won't have to do many more...

Crates

Few pages from the first draft of my crate idea. Please ignore the type for now, i'll fix it later on.

Some hand-rendered type. Urm, don't steal/recreate these alright?

Plan B

Back up design. If all else fails i'll just illustrate the annual like this, pretty straight forward. My tutors seem to like it but I duno seems a bit too easy.

Flexible

Spray paint aint actually as limited as i thought, ya know how the crustaceans get put in crates n that? I'm sorta going for that style.

Fun!

Stubborn

Sometimes it does not pay to be hopelessly idealistic. Even though i have done some regular illustrations and my tutor says it would look alright in small paper clams, i just so badly want to get them into a 3d giant clam inside a decorated net.

Chairman = big main hook

Director = watching the trailer boats from the lighthouse.

Final note = Anchors away!

I'd just be so proud if i can actually do this and get it to look good enough. Fightttt!

Happy as a zebra?

God these took forever. I originally made 10, but only 5 came out right. And I can't paint so they dont even look like clams. Dammit.

How the hell am i going to fit an entire annual into 5 clams anyway? Why do i always pick the most stupidly difficult things to do?? I need to just get a pen and some decent colours, and sit down and draw the annual like a normal illustration student. Thinking of what would actually be possible to do, instead of what would look cool IF i could do it. Self evaluation: "stop kidding yourself and draw some shit."

UK

Not very exciting, but i drew this free-hand from looking at a picture of it. First time i've ever attempted to draw the UK, and Ireland went a bit wrong, but hey you can tell what it is right?!

I expected to have to do it like several times to get it recognizable, so quite proud. Urm and yeah, frying.

Life drawing funn

Look what we got to do today! Make scribbly pencil guidelines, using small straight lines only and without looking at the paper, then using them to draw the body in charcoal without taking it off the paper.

Little things hey? I could've done that all day, but sadly it was only a 15 minute drawing.

Restless

Ah i cant just sit and design page after page of annuals for hours on endddd... especially not in this sunshine!

God i've gotta draw like 6 more of these all doing different things too. Jeeeeeeeeeeze louise.

Scrap

Getting rid of, yep rid-of some of my old sketchbooks. Cause they are shit. But some stuff i wana keep for memories sake, such as my 2 first ever monoprints:

I used to love monoprinting, hm..

Crevettes

Quite cute, but looking at them makes me hungry which is weird cause i cant imagine eating something that looks all sad like that.
